MARINIUM

BENEFIT FRAMEWORK

What is a Benefit Company

A Benefit Company is a business that, in addition to economic objectives, formally incorporates common-benefit purposes into its corporate charter: measurable, monitorable and reportable environmental, social and cultural commitments.
It is not a label, but a legal model that requires consistency, responsibility and transparency.

Why did Marinium choose this model?

Marinium chose to become a Benefit Company because the Mediterranean is not only our inspiration: it is our operating context, our responsibility and our heritage to protect.
The Benefit model allows us to turn this vision into a concrete, measurable and recognisable commitment for clients, partners and institutions.

For this reason, we have defined an impact framework that guides every strategic and operational decision.

Our impact pillars.

Protection of marine biodiversity: we support scientific projects with CESTHA and marine regeneration initiatives, with a particular focus on the Mediterranean.

Protection of marine biodiversity: we support scientific projects with CESTHA and marine regeneration initiatives, with a particular focus on the Mediterranean.

Education and sea culture: we promote awareness of the value of marine ecosystems and the importance of using resources responsibly.

Transparency and accountability: we report our results annually, in line with the obligations of Benefit Companies and our commitment to external verification.

Marinium aims to become a shared vision and passion, a living community that believes in the power of beauty, authenticity, and responsibility.

Marinium truly believes that it is possible to do something meaningful for the sea and for the ecosystem around us. For this reason, it gives back part of its value through Benefit projects developed with partners specialised in the protection of marine ecosystems.

MARINIUM X CESTHA

Cestha. Experimental Centre for Habitat Protection

Cestha, a non-profit organisation and scientific institute, working closely with public and private bodies, universities, and research centres, is committed to promoting: sustainable fisheries management projects, initiatives that harmonise productive activities, and projects focused on protecting marine and coastal ecosystems.

As part of our collaboration with Cestha, we adopt sea turtles rescued during bottom trawl fishing operations.
The project supports their care and wellbeing until they are released back into open sea.
These turtles will return to live freely in their natural habitat.
For us, they are a tangible symbol of our commitment: every bottle can help protect a marine life.

Partnerships,
protection, and tangible impact

Marinium has signed the NEL PROFONDO Manifesto, launched in 2025 by Worldrise, a non-profit organisation that has been active for over ten years in the conservation of Italian seas.

“Nel Profondo” is a communication and awareness project that brings the Mediterranean back to the centre: of our identity, our daily choices, and our collective action.

The initiative is part of the 30×30 goal: to effectively protect at least 30% of our seas by 2030.

With Marinium, we are committed to supporting this vision, contributing through our work to spread a conscious and responsible culture of the sea.
